Margo Royer, Nurse Practitioner
Margo was born and raised in Southern California. Prior to nursing school, she received a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology from Whittier College. She finished her Bachelors in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Program at Azusa Pacific University, which ranks in the top five percent in the nation in 2024. As a former collegiate basketball player, Margo has always been drawn to orthopedics and sports medicine. As her two passions intersect, she has had the honor to care for several types of orthopedic patients: joint replacement, orthopedic trauma and spine surgeries.
Margo is a member of the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
When she is not working, Margo enjoys spending time with her family, two dogs, and watching sports, particularly the best football club in England: Liverpool FC! You’ll never walk alone!

Ishan Modi, Research Fellow
Born and raised in Southern California’s Inland Empire, Ishan brings a deep commitment to healthcare shaped by his family’s experiences navigating the medical system. He earned his B.S. in Psychobiology from UCLA, where he also competed as a collegiate athlete on the UCLA Tennis Team. Balancing rigorous academics with athletics taught him discipline, resilience, and how to thrive under pressure—skills that fuel his drive today.
Currently, Ishan works as a medical scribe for Dr. Prem Ramkumar, where he documents patient visits, coordinates orders for durable medical equipment, and assists Dr. Ramkumar in innovative research that tracks patient recovery. His research focuses on outcomes after joint replacement and sports-related surgeries, helping identify ways to optimize post-op protocols and patient satisfaction. This front-line exposure to surgical care and patient relationships has only strengthened his aspiration to attend medical school and ultimately become a surgeon, dedicated to improving lives through skilled, compassionate care.
Outside of work, Ishan stays close to his love for sports—whether that’s playing basketball, keeping up with tennis, or hitting the gym—and is a big fan of movies, from indie gems to blockbuster thrillers. A proud Californian, he also finds joy in exploring new coffee shops and staying active—whether that’s shooting hoops, going to his favorite beaches, or catching a late-night film.

Maggie Sayeh, Scribe
Born in California, raised in Dubai, and of Lebanese origin, Maggie brings a global perspective and a deep commitment to compassionate healthcare. She earned her B.S. in Physiology from McGill University, where she developed a strong foundation in human biology. She later spent two years as a pediatric medical assistant, gaining hands-on experience supporting children, families, and physicians while learning the importance of empathy and trust in patient care.
Maggie is now a medical scribe for Dr. Prem Ramkumar, where she accurately documents patient visits, prepares medication and equipment orders, and supports clinical workflow. Her own interest in movement and fitness makes this setting especially meaningful, as she continues to learn how orthopedic care helps patients return to the activities that matter most to them. This experience continues to strengthen her path toward a future career in medicine.
Outside of work, Maggie stays active through running, strength training, and Pilates/barre, where she is also a certified instructor. She also enjoys photography, reading, spending time at the beach, and exploring Southern California.”
